After studies at the University of Basel and the School of Design (Schule für Gestaltung Basel) Dominique Jehle has commenced her practice as an artist in Basel. Being committed mainly to painting oil on canvas and print, she has been strongly influenced by study visits to the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, where she was a resident artist of the Kunstkredit Basel-Stadt, as well as to Boston and Cambridge Massachusetts. Her art is, amongst others, exhibited regularly at the gallery semina rerum in Zurich and represented in the collection of the Kunstkredit Basel-Landschaft. Parallel to painting, Jehle is regularly working on site-specific art, one example being her installation dans les rues during the Littman Kulturprojekt Strassenbilder (street pictures) in Basel. Besides her practice, she is engaged in local culture acting as vice president of the Freunde des Kunstmuseums Basel.
